Due to the observance of New Years Day on Monday, January 2nd, 2017 there will be no garbage collection on that day, Monday & Tuesday’s garbage will be collected on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017.
The City of Mitchell Regional Landfill will be closed on Monday, January 2nd, 2017. They will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd at 7:30 a.m.
The City of Mitchell will have a special collection for Christmas trees during the week of January 9th – 13th, 2017. Place the trees curbside on the same day of your garbage collection. Again, these will be picked up curbside only.
Christmas trees may also be taken to the compost drop-off site located at 1405 West 8th Ave which will be open January 9th – 13th, 2017. You can bring Christmas trees to this location to drop off from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
