Special Event Permit Applications scheduled for the May 16, 2022 City Council meeting

The City of Mitchell received applications for special events.  The applications will be considered at the May 16, 2022 City Council Meeting.  The application can be viewed on the City Council Agenda at https://www.cityofmitchell.org/AgendaCenter.

  • Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Parade on July 16, 2022 from 10:30 AM- 1:00 PM.  The application includes a road closure request and parade permit.  The road closure includes Main Street and Lawler Street from 11th Avenue to 1st Avenue; and  9th Avenue, 10th Avenue, and 11th Avenue from Rowley to Lawler.  
  • Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Community Kickoff Celebration on July 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM in the Corn Palace Plaza.  The application includes a road closure, parking lot closure, and consumption permit.  The road closure includes Main Street from 7th Avenue to 5th Avenue; and the parking lot closure includes the Corn Palace Plaza parking lot.
