1.

Request For Street Closure - Palace City Kiwanis Half Marathan

Palace City Kiwanis Half Marathon requests that the 600 block of North Main be closed on Saturday, October 14, 2018 from 3:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. as they will be starting and finishing the  half marathon race in front of the Corn Palace (see attachments for additional details).
2.

Request For Street Closure - Ethan American Legion Post 261 "Sweat for Vets" 5K

The Ethan American Legion Post 261 will be hosting a "Sweat for Vets" 5k on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at 10:00a.m. and request that the 600 Block of North Main be closed from 3:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. for registration and for the start and end of the race.  (see attachments for additional details).

Request For Street & Parking Lot Closures - Corn Palace Festival

The Corn Palace is requesting the following street and parking lot closures for Corn Palace Festival (this request was brought to the Corn Palace from the entertainment security advance sheet requests):

- Lawler Street from 6th to half block North (East Side of Corn Palace) for entertainment bus parking.
- Request for 1/2 block to be closed from Thursday,  August 23rd at 12:00p.m. to Sunday,  August 26th at 10:00p.m. The Corn Palace will open this street up when possible throughout the week when buses are not present.


The next Traffic Commission meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 17th, 2018.  The time will be announced at a later date.

Committee meeting agendas are scheduled based on an estimated time of completion. If a meeting concludes prior to its scheduled time the next committee may start its proceedings early.

The City of Mitchell invites all parties to give oral or written comments. If special accommodations are required, please notify the Public Safety Department at 995-8400 at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting.
