1.

Request For Change Of Restricted Parking Signage

Mitchell Area Development Corporation requests a change of signage in the public parking lot behind the Chamber.  There are currently four "30 Minute" parking spaces Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.  It is requested that one of the restricted parking signs be removed completely and the other three restricted parking signs be changed from "30 Minutes" to one hour parking Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Corn Palace Festival Committee Requests Street / Parking Lot Closures

The Corn Palace Festival Committee is requesting the following street and parking lot closures for Corn Palace Festival: North Main Street and a half block each direction from 1st to 7th on Tuesday, August 21st at 4:30am to Monday, August 27th at 4:30am. Closure of the west half of the City Hall Parking Lot from 4:30am on Tuesday, August 21st to 4:30am on Monday, August 27th. Closure of the 5th and Main Parking lot on Tuesday, August 21st  at 4:30am to Monday, August 27th at noon. Closure of the Northwestern Parking Lot on Tuesday, August 21st at 4:30am to Monday, August 27th at noon. Allowing overnight camping in the Disco Lot (800 N. Lawler) for carnival company workers. It is also requested to block a half block east on the 100 block of 3rd and Main from 3:30pm Monday August 20th to 12 noon on Monday, August 27th for the Goldstar Amusement Box Office/Administrative offices.

Request For "No Parking Zone"

Request from Susan Galpin for a "No Parking Zone" in front of her house/mail boxes located at 1529 Country Drive. Due to an ongoing issue of a resident parking in front of her mailboxes she has been unable to receive mail and packages. (See attached letter with photos).  
The next Traffic Commission meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 16th, 2018.  The time will be announced at a later date.

Committee meeting agendas are scheduled based on an estimated time of completion. If a meeting concludes prior to its scheduled time the next committee may start its proceedings early.

The City of Mitchell invites all parties to give oral or written comments. If special accommodations are required, please notify the Public Safety Department at 995-8400 at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting.
