Summer Reading Program

Get ready for the 2022 Summer Reading Program! This summer, our theme is "Oceans of Possibilities."

You can register your children and pick up information beginning Monday, May 23.

Our kick-off date for the Summer Reading Program is Wednesday, June 1.  From 10am-noon, kids can pet real goats and pick up reading charts to earn free books & ice cream.

You can also meet the goats at the library on Saturday, June 4 from 10-noon.

The goats will be in the grass near the parking lot on the west side of the building.

Thanks to Andi Herbst for bringing her goats each year!

Note: Reading charts and ice cream charts will be available throughout the summer.

You can view a complete schedule of our children's Summer Reading Program by clicking the link on the side bar.

Storytimes for Everyone!

Outdoor Thursday Storytime
On Thursdays June 2, 9, & 16, you're invited to join us for Outdoor Storytime at Hitchcock Park from 10:30-11:15am for stories, rhymes, a craft, and fun.

We'll be at the shelter between the tennis courts. (Look for the Summer Reading Program signs.)

Preschoolers, toddlers, infants, and older children are welcome with parent or caregiver.

If you have swimming lessons or tennis lessons, come over when you're done. You're always welcome no matter what time you arrive.

Thursday Library Storytime
On Thursdays June 23, 30, July 7, 14, 21, & 28, we will meet in the Library's Community Room at 10:30am-11:15am.

Bilingual Storytime
We also offer a BONUS Storytime on Saturdays June 18 & July 2 at the library at 10:30am.

Librarians Ada Morales and Jean Patrick will read picture books in Spanish & English while stretching your children's vocabulary.

This is a fantastic way to learn a new language & make new friends. All ages are welcome.

Bilingual Storytime is led by Ada Morales and Jean Patrick.

Bookopoly, Jr.

Did your children participate in Bookopoly, Jr? If they did at least one of the challenges, they may come to the library to pick up a participation gift.
