The Human Resources
Department serves the Mitchell City staff and
the community through the administration of the
following programs and activities:
EMPLOYMENT
Recruitment, testing and placement and hiring
for City positions is done through the Human
Resources Department. Currently the City of
Mitchell employs 178 full-time and up to 300
seasonal staff.
TRAINING
AND DEVELOPMENT
The City of Mitchell is committed to providing
training and development opportunities for our
staff. The Human Resources Department assists
in the planning, development and facilitation of
training and development programs.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The Human Resources Department administers
the City's compensation plan along with benefit
administration. Benefit programs include:
Flexible Spending Program, time off plans,
Employee Assistance Program, Wellness Program,
Employee Recognition Program, new employee
orientation program, exit interviews, alcohol
and drug testing programs, the City's
self-insured health plan, life insurance,
supplemental voluntary life insurance, dental
insurance, workers compensation insurance.
EMPLOYEE
SERVICES
Employee services coordinated through Human
Resources include: Wellness Profile program,
blood drives, flu shots, United Way Fund drive.
SAFETY
The Human Resources department coordinates the
areas of workers comp, liability and property
insurance. |
